What Does Deleting a Product Do?

In VendorPayout, Delete hides a product from the active product and inventory views. The product record is kept so you can restore it later. This does not delete the product from Shopify or remove its past orders and sales records.

These steps are for the store owner or administrator. If you are a vendor and cannot see a product, ask your store owner to check the Deleted Products page for you.

Hide a Product

  1. Open Products or Products & Inventory in VendorPayout.
  2. Find the product you want to hide. Use the available filters or page controls if needed.
  3. Click Delete at the right of the product row.

The product is now hidden from the active list in VendorPayout.

Restore a Product

  1. Open Products or Products & Inventory.
  2. Open More and select View deleted products. You can also open the Deleted Products page directly while signed in as the store owner.
  3. Find the product using its image, name, vendor, or variants/SKUs. The page shows 20 products per page; use the page controls at the bottom to browse more.
  4. Click the Restore link with the arrow at the right of the product row.
  5. After the success message appears, click View Active Products to return to the product list.

Restoring makes the product active in VendorPayout again and removes it from the Deleted Products list. It does not change the product in Shopify or change which vendors have permission to view it.

Shopify syncs still apply your store's usual product status and visibility rules. If a restored product disappears again after a sync, check its Shopify status and contact support if you need help.

What If a Vendor Cannot See a Product?

First, have the store owner check More > View deleted products from Products or Products & Inventory. If the product is listed, click Restore, then ask the vendor to refresh their product or inventory page.
